So glad to have the opportunity to enthuse about this place on here at last!
It’s been a staple of ours for a few years now. Other West Indian takeaways come and go, but this one has been at the heart of the community for some years now. It’s also the most reasonably priced.
I so much love the Jerk Chicken with Rice N Peas (I think that they are actually aduki beans mixed in with the rice), that not much else from the extensive menu gets a look in, except sometimes Curried Goat.
Service with a smile, delicious, reasonably priced food and spanking clean viewable kitchen area. What else could you wish for?
I walk past it twice daily and it has stung my curosity. Will be interested to see what is made of it, then maybe I will stop to try it some day :)
I want to completely endorse the enthusing. Although I always have linguistic problems when I order, the steam fish dinner is one of the best eats in SE4, or possibly indeed in London.
I'm guessing there's nothing here for vegetarians? Guess we'll stick to Longtime next door....
It's also a veggie restaurant!
Vegetarian.... With fish, evidently....
...and jerk chicken, and curried goat. did i miss something?
What it means is that they put thought and effort into catering for vegetarians, unlike most places.
Its full title is something like 'nu-spice caribbean and vegetarian restaurant'
Does Longtime only sell veggie food? I'm sure I bought something with fish in it from there before.....
Anyway, Nu Spice is alright. Reasonably priced and convenient. give it a go.
Longtime veggie? They have vegaterian dishes but the meat eater will find all their favourite flavours.
What a co-incidence - I have just come from Brockley (and took the opportunity to load up on food from Nu Spice for supper tonight).
I have been going there for years and I cannot praise it enough.
The food (vegetarian as well) is fresh, and homespun. It is great. And they are so nice. They're my friends.
Long may they flourish.
Well excellent site by the way Brockley Nick! Good job.
Just had lunch there.
Jerk chicken, rice and peas. Fantastic.
Well worth it.
