Brockley Fireworks
Our highlight of 2007's Brockley Max was final-night fireworks in Hilly Fields, which were glorious and atmospheric. To our knowledge there are no public events planned in Brockley tonight. But we've had this request via email for help from Finn:
"Don't know if this is the right forum to ask this question, but can you see the Blackheath fireworks from the top of Hilly Fields? Have an 8 month old baby this year and the walk to Blackheath at that time isn't an option. Looking for something closer to home."

You should be able to, yes, but last year there were a lot of ground-based fireworks, which did seem a little peculiar as many people couldn't actually see them very well.
Another case of a badly-purchased external supplier by Lewisham (and Greenwich) council?
Canonbie Road is the best place to be to see fireworks.
Blackheath fireworks have been excellent the 2 years I've been, no idea about watching them from anywhere else than Blackheath itself though. Must admit there were a lot of ground based fireworks last year though. Good thing about Blackheath is the fact that it's so open and you can stand just about anywhere to watch them rather than being crammed into a small space
There's also Crystal Palace if you want to avoid the bunfight in the Blackheath boozers. Costs a fiver though.
Can we make this about house prices?
Crystal Palace fireworks are tonight and Blackheath ones are on Saturday so there's no reason not to do both!
Clapham common people, tonight, 7:30pm and free - ahh good old Loony Lambeth council!
Blackheath Fireworks is Lewisham (and they are very proud of it - on the home page of their website, when it eventually connects..).
You can see fireworks all over from any high ground. The top of Telegraph Hill in the Upper Park is good too.
And also this Saturday - the Lord Mayor's show fireworks

Not a think to take a baby to, but brilliantly visible from Telegraph Hill Park.
Best place to see the Blackheath display is from our lounge window on Tyrwhitt Road.
You're all invited. All you have to do is work out which house and which flat :-b
That's easy - we come round trick or treating with apologies for being a week late.
We're going to be watching from the terrace, which is quite a spectacular sight. All BCers welcome. Failing that, Windy Fields or Tgraph Hill (If it's the former take a supply of brandy.)
