The online home for all things Brockley (SE4), St John's, Ladywell, Nunhead and Telegraph Hill
Blythe Hill Fields is hosting a repeat of last year's successful summer festival.
Oh Blyth Hill is in Brockley now is it ???
Yeah, Crofton Park is the heart of historic Brockley.
Yes, Crofton Park is nothing but a made up name of a train station.
Well all names were made up by someone. profound eh?
I would have said it's more Honor Oak than CP. Blythe Hill always seemed to me to be an underused local space though, so it's nice to hear they're having a festival. (Being slightly higher than HF, you get a better view of the River from there, although it does lack a certain je ne sais quoi.)
not quite Brockley Central
mmm thats my point !!!!
Calm down, calm down... The guy who originally asked Nick to post this admitted that it wasn't Brockley, he just wanted a bit of publicity for a local event!
Why not advertise the Isle of Wight festival then ??
Er, because that's not local? Duh.Blythe Hill is just down the road FFS. Now shut up about it.
Who are these tossers who worry about whether somethign is Brockley or not?
The tossers who live in Brockley peut-être?
An extremely local event that seems to have slipped under the radar, although I mentioned it a good few weeks back and recently put full details on the suggest a topic bit, is the Public Meeting on the Fuel Poverty Bill in St. Andrews on Thursday - 7pm to 9pm.
Yes, Blyth Hill Festival seems to take front page on the festivals in the Lewisham Life Magazine,Brockley Max second page.
Blythe Hill is CATFORD - still South East London though!!!!
Blythe Hill borders SE23, SE6 and SE4. It's just behind Brockley Rise and has a great view of Hilly Fields and the Brockley surrounds. All Brockley residents are welcome to come along and join in the festivities which, if last year is anything to go by, should make for a lovely day out right on your doorstep.
sorry to offend the ill of heel brockleyites. jump on the 171/172 for 3 minutes if you like.hope to see you all and have a wonderful day in the sunshine.
Blyth hill is a fun day out for all the family I have been volunteering there with my wife since it started. Bring on 2010 it's going to be a great one!
