According to Sitemeter, about one minute ago we recorded our millionth page impression since records began back in 2007. We reckon only half a million of those were spent arguing.

According to the shop on the hill, Brockley Honey is sold out until next summer!
ah...a traditional derailed thread. Sopers has Deptford honey. They also sold me a bag of mussels in which about three were edible. Not happy.
There is also Honor Oak honey.
I may be cynical but i suspect those bees do not show sufficient respect to our SE4 borders.
In Tuscany they tie cotton around them so they do not stray outside pollen catchment area.
On the basis that I shall be in the Dog and Bell for a decent pint tonight - Deptford Honey will do.
Someone recently gave me a pot of honey made on Vesta Road. Is it Brockley, New Cross or Telegraph Hill honey?

@max - no - sadly the fundamental problem with google ads is that no bugger clicks on them. Also, local ads for rubbish clearance and storage aren't exactly the high value keywords.
That's it! I've had enough of these bees making a fool out of me. It's a cartel, artificially manipulating honey futures. Enron did that you know....except not with honey....but you know what I mean.
I'm buying generic honey from Tesco's from on.

And on the de-railed part of this thread - there is a very serious problem with the bees used in large numbers to pollinate a significant proportion of the Euro-west's crops, but it is not, as yet, affecting urban bees. Hence the encouragement of urban bee-keeping.
I think New Cross Honey would have to be that from the apiary in B(l)essom Street Gardens

And on the de-railed part of the thread - you might want to chat to Tam Langley (my partner & prospective Lib Dem MP for Lewisham Deptford) - she's worked heavily with Britain's only professor of honey bees - so is a real bee expert.
I have a photo somewhere but they don't really work with bees - they're too small to come out.
There are also honey producers in Crofton Park and Catford but if you're looking to maximise the hay fever prevention benfits of local honey, the closer it's produced to where you live or spend your time, the better.
