Surprise Kitty
Sleek black cat (probably female) with red collar found in Arica Road, SE4.
She is v friendly and is currently living in our outdoor cat hutch but it's getting very cold and may even snow, but we can't bring in her in as have 2 cats of our own.
Urgently need to find owner as Celia Hammond Cat Rescue Centre is full. If anyone would be willing to foster her until the owner is found please let us know.
I've posted up 30 messages around Brockley this evening and I'm desperate to try all that i can before the weather deteriorates further.
Many thanks, Ilona

Now is the time to finally live up to your name and shine Catman...
Great clip!
Hope the cat's owner is found soon.
Dear Brockley Nick (all)
Thanks so much for posting up this message. I took the little sleek black cat (who happens to male) to the vet this morning and he was thankfully micro chipped! Have returned him to his owner in St Norbet's Road. He'd been missing for 3 weeks!
Have started to take down the posters and will remove any remaining ones this evening.
Received a call about a brown cat with a red collar who has been missing from Upper Brockley Road for a month. The owner is very sad and is desperately trying to find them.
Thanks again for posting up this message.

Excellent news.
Merry Christmas everyone!
ah bless - cats need to be looked after, despite all the clawing and hissing they are generally very caring and considerate creatures..
Iiona, i think you have made that the owners Christmas - thank you for being neighbourly!
Cats are about as caring and considerate as someone working the checkouts in Lidl.
That's great news - the owners must be over the moon.
It reinforces the message to get cats microchipped, too!
Hope the other one has a similarly happy ending....
Good work, Ilona! :)
This gave me a big warm glow on behalf of kitty's owner. Ilona you are a star!
I read yesterday, theres a big spate in Stanford Hill of cats being shot with air rifles.
Proves that we should all be microchipped.
Now removed all the posters so hopefully the good folk of Brockley will infer from this that the owner has been found.
Just for information, microchip scanning at the John Hankinson sugery (on Shardeloes Road) is free.
So if you found a lost puddy during the winter months and have a cat basket handy you may want to make use of this free service.
Merry Christmas all
Ilona
Many thanks to the caller who offered to care for the lost cat over Christmas.
All the kind messages and offers of support are truly heartening.
