Brockley: The World is Yours [UPDATED]

Lt Aldo Raine: We will be cruel to the Germans, and through our cruelty they will know who we are... And the German will be sickened by us, and the German will talk about us, and the German will fear us. And when the German closes their eyes at night and they're tortured by their subconscious for the evil they have done, it will be with thoughts of us they are tortured with. Sound good?
The Basterds: YES, SIR!
- Inglorious Basterds

At my signal, unleash ELL.

On Sunday, everything changes. Here is your new tube map, courtesy of BC regular Monkeyboy. From now on, London hipsters come to us, to kneel before Zod.
UPDATE: Following an intensive lobbying campaign by the Forest Hill Society, the map has been expanded to show that they too are on the tube map.

That's a tube map. And we're on it.

The version on the TfL site even includes Forest Hill. I can't believe you have wiped us off the map.

Sorry Michael - I had to crop it to fit it in. Sincere apologies. :)

Nice to see that they've stuck Shoreditch High Street in Zone 1 so technically would need to pay a higher fare (ie a Zone 1 + 2 travelcard) to pass through. Totally unnecessary as it's not an interchange. Was the original Shoreditch in Zone 1?

Kinglard, I heard the TFl honcho being asked about this on the radio this week. he said it was because Shoreditch in its previous incarnation was useless as it ran such a restricted service, and that the new SHSt station was in such proximity to the city it was viable to class it as Zone 1.

Or something like that. I was cooking dinner at the time.

think it had something to do with funding, a few extra quid in the TfL coffers. It's a cruel world out there. Still HOP and the rest of the wannabes are in the depths of Z3 and beyond.

On the TFL website I just typed in a journey from Brockley to Shoreditch on the 24th May. It gave me 4 departure times. one train left 4 minutes after the previous train - the next train left 11 minutes after that one. I hope that these departure times are not correct because I was under the impression that we'd never have to wait more than 8 minutes.

seriously? we've been waiting 5 years for this service, and you're worried about 3 minutes? we were promised 8 tph i believe (nick seems to have the exact numbers at his fingertips) which may average to every 8 minutes --- but with Southern running its irregular service on the same lines, how would the ELL trains keep to exact 8 min intervals?

no, well get whatever the number of trains per hour but they will fit around the southern services and slot into the services from New Cross. most of the network that has different destinations and where track is shared have varying frequencies. Hardly the end of the world...OR IS IT!!!
