The online home for all things Brockley (SE4), St John's, Ladywell, Nunhead and Telegraph Hill
The classifieds section of Brockley Central features everything from pet therapists to Thai Chi classes. The latest addition is pilates classes that have recently begun in Ladywell. More here.
Btw do please if you can use all the local shops, they are going to need help. I was just in the especially the newer less established places, The Shop on the Hill sells stuff made by people in Brockley, as does Brown's, Broca Food Market on Mantle has wide of products, fancy organic cake mixes to fresh fruit and veg. The Orchard went past yesterday great atmosphere during the England Match. Degustation great breads and all the other shops, the may not look fancy but better to have them than empty buildings.
Completely agree with previous poster. As a digression - and apologies for this - can anyone point me in the right direction for classes and groups for babies and toddlers, se4 based preferably? Many thanks
Lot's going on in the Telegraph Hill Centre - different things Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. (OK, SE14 5TY, but right on the borders.) Also check out the Children's Centre - 29 Wallbutton Road, which is SE4.And, if the pilates in Ladywell does not appeal there is pilates, yoga, tai chi, aerobics, capoira and kick-boxing on in the Centre various evenings. (As well as AA and Gam Anon.)
Sorry - didn't mean to say "does not appeal" in quite that way and denigrate the original posting - meant does not appeal because it is too far, or wrong day, wrong time or something.
Thank you very much, Tamsin.
There is baby Bounce at crofton pk library on friday at 11am, and lots of baby groups happen/are advertised at the churches along wickham rd, and the one on upper brockley rd. Also baby swimming at Deptford Wavelengths and Friendly Gardens has a play club for babies/toddlers and lots of people who go would be able to give you tips about other activities
Those sound excellent and exactly the sort of thing we would be looking to do with the ch. Thank you FH.
Is there still Baby Gym in Honor Oak community centre on Friday am? That's excellent, especially for more energic children. Also there's the playgroup in Telegraph Hill park every day.
dam, i thought this was going to be about pirates classes in ladywell
