Lewisham Way - major road works imminent
From July 21st until at least December 13th, road works will take place between Tressillian Road and Malpas Road on Lewisham Way. Work will happen between the morning and afternoon rush hours, but expect disruption for both cars and pedestrians using that stretch.
Much of the planned work will focus on improving the pavement and removing clutter. Pedestrian diversions will be put in place.
With thanks to Cllr Johnson for the heads-up.

Oh dear, my route to work. Still at least the works start on the day of school holidays, though the autumn term should be interesting...
How does it take the best part of six months to improve some pavements? Oh well, as long as the work isn't late at night like some of the recent resurfacing/painting...
Bad news for residents of Ladywell and AdelvenueSvenue then which frustrated drivers will use to avoid any mess on Lewisham Way...... Anyone monitoring the affect of traffic displacement (council?) I suspect not!
ammend: make that Adelaide Avenue!
Adelaide Avenue!
A delayed avenue?
Work finally started this morning on the resurfacing of Sprules Rd as well. All is good in the hood.
@DD - Don't be so sure all is good until they're well and truly done.
They finally resurfaced part of Jerningham Road over the last couple of weeks and then less than a week after finishing they've dug up the middle section to deal with a water leak (that was there before they started)!
Immediately opposite the roadworks (which have closed off the end of Wickham Road for the last few days), it looks like Eden Estates are opening an office in the small unit next to the Tesco Express that was previously a hair salon.
