Not Brockley Central: Sea Lion, The Falkland Islands
Brockley Central doesn’t usually have the patience for nature. We don’t like having to work and wait for a glimpse of a paw print of an animal on safari. However, on Sea Lion Island, a conservation area in the Falklands, you can’t step out of your front door without meeting a crèche of penguins, the beaches are littered with elephant seal pups and the sea is teeming with killer whales.
We’ve never seen life in such abundance before. Crossing the beach without tripping over seals was like dodging the cracks in the pavement. And perhaps because they quickly got the measure of us, the animals are completely fearless.

Thanks for posting, beautiful images, but I hope these animals left in peace.
What's this got to do with Brockley?
Nothing. Great isn't it!
Not a lot. But I find it a hell of a lot more interesting than reading repetitive polarised arguments on political blame games and minority protests.
No cafe, no art gallery, no deli. What's so good about it?
max - no Southeastern trains, either... that's a good start!
Or Southern, or London Overground, for that matter... was only thinking of Southeastern as a St. Johns commuter.
I went to an island in a river in peru.... it was called 'Monkey Island' it had monkeys on it. Every city should have a Monkey Island, primates are cool.
Isn't there some toy called "Monkey Island"? I will idle on-line and see what I can find.
But a lovely clip. And the sort of off the wall thing that makes this site such fun.
Right - there's a computer game which seems to have remarkably little to do with monkeys, even the three guys of low moral fiber (sic.) who laze around and want to start a circus have a disobedient pet rat rather than pet monkey. There is also this Would you like one, Monkeyboy? We could have a whip-round at the Xmas drinks.
A friends brother-in-law lives in the Falklands. He is a krill millionaire
Bet you have some great conversations.
one of the sea lions is named Brockley.
Brockley the sea lion, quite a character I hear.
It reminds me of Brockley Road on a sunny afternoon...
@first Anon - no animals were harmed in the making of this film :)
@Tamsin - Monkey Island is a classic series of games and it does feature monkeys, you'll be pleased to hear
