Extend the 63 bus route to Honor Oak?

Tonight's Crofton Park Transport Users Group will hear from Peckham campaigners who want the 63 bus route extended from Forest Hill Road to Honor Oak Park, to connect it with the local facilities and of course the East London Line.

Aside from adding a few extra passengers to local train services (the connection might be less useful once the ELL extension to Clapham via Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye opens in 2012 anyway), are there any significant pros or cons for local people to this proposal?

This would be SO handy, especially if the N63 night route could get a bit closer to Honor Oak station as well.

Presumably it'd have to extend down to Brockley Rise, where the 172 and the P12 currently terminate, as there's nowhere at Honor Oak Park station for a bus to turn around.

Generally a Good Thing, if you ask me - more public transport usually is.

Yes please,

The OH works in East Dulwich which currently takes a couple of busses to get to (when she isn't on her bike)...

A range of new evening entertainment venues in E.Dulwich would suddenly become easily accessable.

It would be a very handy late night route home from Kings Cross if the N63 is extended...

I find the walk from honour oak station down towards forest hill road/peckham rye quite dangerous as the main street is not very well lit so i would very much appreciate the route 63 extended. it would be so much safer to hop on it in the dark after coming out of the station!
