The Adjustment Bureau

This is an ad, but one for a film we happen to be massively looking forward to, even if this trailer is not as good as others. Another Philip K Dick adaptation, hopefully this is more Minority Report than Paycheck.

Possibly not, but showing at a cinema near you...

@Nick - Minority Report was poor but seeing as the quotes you choose for articles are invariably brilliant I will forgive this minor indiscretion ;)

Ed, you disappoint me. Tightly paced action, genuinely heartbreaking backstory, twisty-turny plot, decent sci-fi ideas and good acting.

I think you need to watch it again.

Minority report was pants....sorry.

Sorry Monkeyman you are wrong:

"At a time when movies think they have to choose between action and ideas, Steven Spielberg's "Minority Report" is a triumph--a film that works on our minds and our emotions. It is a thriller and a human story, a movie of ideas that's also a whodunit. Here is a master filmmaker at the top of his form, working with a star, Tom Cruise, who generates complex human feelings even while playing an action eero...

"This film is such a virtuoso high-wire act, daring so much, achieving it with such grace and skill. "Minority Report" reminds us why we go to the movies in the first place."

- Roger Ebert

Five stars on Rotten Tomatoes, averaging 92% across more than 200 reviews. Officially a great film.

Minority Report IS a good film. The notion of pre-crimes is powerful. Watch it again.

I LOVE Duel, ET, Raiders even 1941 but he has not made anything I like since Saving Private Ryan in 1998. His best work is long behind him although he is no doubt one the finest directors ever. Tom is a truly great actor but makes my skin crawl.

Some people can't get past the Scientology thing. Of all the personal baggage that Hollywood stars carry with them, that seems like a relatively trivial issue to me.

From Magnolia to Collateral, Tropic Thunder to Jerry Maguire, he's shown he's got range and charisma. If you can watch Jack Nicholson without gagging you should be able to tolerate Cruise.

Good point but I like Jack, I'd like to get drunk with him, well a younger him. I keep wondering if Tom is a robot, even though he claims to be a reptile or something (don't correct me, I just don't care).
I will, if the opportunity arises, take another look Nick.

Is this where the bromance ends? It's Paisley Y-fronts pants. Your wrong, I'm right. Simples

@MB you should take a leaf out of Ed's book, admit your mistakes and move on. ;)

I'm of the Lou school of absolute conviction in the face of evidence to the contrary.

The Scientology Thing is un-gettable-past, indeed. Not to mention the fact that he feels he has to hide the fact that he is gay. Allegedly.
