Funny laundering
Artmongers have added another splash of colour to South East London by redesigning the front of a New Cross launderette, having previously turned a house in to a clockwork toy and dumpsters in to cows and parcels.

As they did with the key, they've employed a little optical illusion to produce a 3D effect, and created a glorious shop front, which, together with ReynA, has dramatically improved the feel of this parade.

The Chinese food shop, Yip, has improved things there too. Very friendly and nicely presented.
Yip is great - we checked it out yesterday, very friendly and well stocked ...
Dumpsters?!?! We're not American!
I walked back from Deptford to New Cross last Wednesday around 10.30 and apart from a small section of decaying horror nearer Deptford it was pretty good looking along most of the way and buzzing with activity too. A long way forward from only a couple of years ago.
The "parcels" never worked to my mind, but their other stuff is brilliant. There also being the "Fabric of Society" in and around the Hill Station, Kitto Road, and the murals in Deptford.
