Police close Turnham Road [UPDATED]
On Twitter, Shona reports that part of the road has been sealed off by police and the staff of the Co-Op have been evacuated. It follows the shooting on the same road in the Honor Oak estate, earlier this week.

And do people know what happened in Wickham Mews last Friday 21st Oct? Apparently it was sealed off at both ends and armed police were tracking someone with a gun.
There hasn't been any further incidents, a copper there told me they're just looking for someone.
Is this whole area one big council estate? No wonder there are so many problems .. looks like building after building of council estates
What do you mean, Anon 16.36? There are plenty of hard-working, decent people living on the Honor Oak Estate who will be just as horrified at this as anyone else. Not everybody who lives in social housing is by definition a criminal.

Bear in mind Twitter is the same reliable source that told us that the Catford cat had been stolen and/or burned.
I walked past about 40 mins after the first tweet and did not see a things. Thank god for that.
Also it was twitter where the rumour about Fritz going mental in Catford and running around with a gun when in fact he has nothing to do with it. Also in regards to the first incident I saw various tweets that a 6 year old had been shot and killed.
People need to take some of the things posted on twitter with a pinch of salt.
6 year old shot and killed turned out to be 20yer old shot in leg. Not great clearly but yes, a twitter storm of speculation can create its own momentum
