Dig This, New Cross
Dig This is a (relatively) new garden centre in New Cross, selling plants and shrubs and providing a fruit and vegetable box service for local residents. Run by a Hungarian horticulturalist, who farms in Welling, founder Mihaly is the proud guardian of 50 types of tomato and has plans to set-up a community garden and gardening club soon.
The New Cross centre, next to the Hobgoblin pub, doubles as an exhibition space for artists.

But where do you park?
It's zone 2... catch the train!
Or at the weekend, without the staff at Goldsmiths taking the spaces, you could probably park in St. James. Or try just up Jerningham Road, or north of the A2 down Goodwood or Batavia Roads. Not yet cursed with a CPZ things should be possible.
Anyone know who i can contact about using the artist space?
Great - and good on him for opening up and I wish him every success - but is there any start up that doesn't double up as an exhibtion space for local artists?
Oh Jack? Seems obvious - but why not call him or pop in?
Excellent, thanks for letting us know. Look forward to visiting.
Echoing Sue!
This place is great. Good plants and seeds, good veg and fruit- especially the pears and eggs. The people who run it are lovely and the painting on the gates really brightens up the road.
If you have not been try it out- they have a good website and a facebook page too.
There is 20 minutes free parking outside the shop.
My friend has spoken to the owner regarding space for her art work and the owner was very encouraging. She'll have her work displayed next month.
I love shopping there because all the plants are grown on his organic land and the organic fruit and veg is from kent and lincolnshire where I am from.
