Cash for gold

We've now had a chance to try the electronics shop Cash Tech, in Brockley Cross, and are happy to confirm that it's a very handy source of Nintendo parts. We've bought a DS charger and a Wii nun-chuck there in recent days, the former new, the latter second hand. Both were very good value and work very well. We've not tried selling anything to them, but as a shop, it's recommended.

I used this to buy some DVDs - and some flashing lights for my 'house disco'.

"Moos" who runs it is a great guy, and he seems to know a lot about all things electronic - which is great for me.

meh, replace it with something higher spec that people will use.

Good, thanks.

What happened about the children's clothes shop that was supposed to be opening on the corner of Cranfield and Brockley? I passed it this evening and the windows were clouded over, the way people do when they don't want you to see what is inside so I thought it might be mid renovation perhaps?

I hope so - I think it would be a good addition to the neighborhood.

Poor stock - £3 DVDs, a scratched antique laptop and a monster 80GB PS3 anyone?

Don't be so miserable and give him a chance to build up stock. Anything that recycles stuff out into re-use, be it skips without tarpaulin covers or specialist second hand shops like this, has to be good for society and the planet.

Walking past the clouded windows this morning - planning application notice up there for a shop selling Children's Shoes so work is presumably progressing, albeit slowly.

What's wrong with £3 DVDs? The big supermarkets flog them at this price all the time?

Brockley mindset innit - people would rather pay more so that they can brag to their friends about it.

Anon - how much was the PS3 being sold for?
Ta.

I bought the nun-chuck there after being thwarted in my efforts to buy one at ToysRUs, so it was better stocked than a global chain.

The shop has more stuff than it can display, as there is so little space.
