Greenspaces: Borough of Deptford Memorial Gardens
The Memorial Gardens run along the south side of Lewisham Way from Breakspears to Upper Brockley Road and commemorates those who died in the First World War.
Together with the villas set back behind them they create a stunning entrance to the conservation area and help to create a sense of calm on a busy road.

one of my favourite places - massive credit due to lewisham council as they take exceptionally good care of this space and frequently re-plant it with bright seasonal flowers and really well tend the beds and shrubbery......thank you!
It looks so different in pictures! It's the panning.
Yes it is a lovely Oasis alongside the thundering traffic....the council do well, they keep it very tidy
The council deos a terrific job with this stretch of land.
It's such a shame that there is no zebra crossing uniting both sides of the road though.
Very lush and well kept.
