Greenspaces: Silkworks
Lewisham residential development Silkworks (Connington Road) has created a college campus atmosphere next to Tesco carpark. With a small garden at its centre, it's a nice little green stopover, most easily accessible from Elverson Road DLR.

It surely makes you want to experience nature.
It's a pleasant addition to an otherwise typically soulless development, but the idea that it might be somewhere deserving of a visit in its own right...?!
I'm not proposing a day trip, Greenspaces is a project I'm working on, to map all the big and little pockets of green around the BC area.
Yeah but, no but...the council has been looking at such sites to build new homes.
There's a small patch of grass remaining on my neighbour's drive...
About 1 sq ft of garden per resident. I've seen a lot of greener college campi.
Come to that - I wouldn't want to spend more than a term at a time on a college campus without a break and the chance to go back to a decent family home.
