Well there's a house I won't be visiting in a hurry. Which 'artist' lives in a house like this?
Does Sounds Around count?
@Anonymous
a) Don't be so boring!
b) Look on the bright-side: the owner obviously cares about the appearance of their home, which is more than plenty of other people can say...
c) I kind of like it...
IMHO Brockley is all the better for the splashes of weirdness and creativity that pop up here and there...
Wow. What kind of person would have had a Labour party poster in their window :-)
A labour party supporter - durrh?! They do exist.
In case you hadn't noticed we have three Labour MPs in Lewisham and an now a Labour majority on the Council.
I think it was a joke, Tamsin. Still, those that rush to defend must be supporters..
Lewisham Gateway scrapped?
Funding due to be announced in June has happened, no news stories re the secretive council loan.
Is it only six years ago this project was supposed to start being constructed to be complete in 2012.
Here we are in 2012 and all we have to show is rubble covered with grass, how much has the Council wasted going nowhere very slowly with this scheme?
This reminds me of a terrifying ghost story I read as a child and have never managed to find again (Aidan Chambers? Jan Marks possibly?) where some eyes painted on a wall in a house would reappear even when painted over, and cause bad things to happen to the inhabitants. Anyone?
Is this one of the Mary Portas Eye Street schemes?
nice one Matt zzzz
A Queen Elizabeth I portrait at Hatfield House depicts her with eyes and ears embroidered on her gown to symbolise that she saw and heard everything going on in her kingdom.
Who LIVES in this house?? ;)
It's Hollydale Road, so it's in Southwark.
