He tried to steal a Judo outfit from my neighbour's washing line, but jumped over my fence and deposited it in my garden when the police arrived!

Are we meant to read between the lines and assume he's dangerous or crazy? (I can't see why everyone would be making such an effort to track him down if not)

If that's the case then I guess people may not want to approach him if they see him?

The police told me repeatedly that he wasn't a danger to anyone else, only a high risk medical case... I hope they are telling the truth, I'd like to believe they are.

But what if he actually knows Judo?

(bad joke).

Wow, they were making a big effort to find him - major helicopter noise! How did they not get him if he was in your garden?!

Anon 14:29 - I take it you're asking if he is mentally ill. Mentally ill people are rarely a risk or danger to other people but they are vulnerable and can be at risk of hurting themselves.

Not that we know mental illness is the medical condition this man has, but just want to tackle this assumption that "crazy" = dangerous.
