What was there before?

It used to be Whites hardware store, but they just used to scowl at people mostly.

Unfair, I've always found Whites really helpful, even when I've asked for some pretty specific ral number paint mixes for work. I'm impressed that even though I'm a "girlie" I'm always treated very straightforwardly which is not the case everywhere (yes, that's you QVS). They also offer excellent delivery service.

Right, rant over. Forgot to say, good luck to White Room!

Is it near Jam Circus? On the same side?

Are you for real? the address is in the title. Have you heard of google maps? Look it up since you're already on the internet reading this.

No, but feel free to introduce a home-knitted waffle-knit waffles & pancakes activity on knit'n'batter nights.

So does that now mean Crofton Park is now the coolest bit of Se4? We have a theatre, the Rivoli, Jam Circus, mr Lawrence, Arloe and Mo and now the White Room...

Her Royal Mungness: why no mention of the Star Cafe?

@AAA - thanks. HML is a more of a party / events venue. Hard to tell from the info sent so far, but I think this will primarily be a shop. But yes, there are some similarities and good luck to them.

This is another good example of what I was trying to get at here:

The White Room SE4 is open and I can confirm that they do not do breakfast.....they did have lovely cupcakes from Stacey at Pat-a-cakes next door though. Thanks Nicky and Jenny

Yes Stacey does make lovely cupcakes! Thanks to all the CP locals for their help and support in getting the boutique open.
We are still looking for Jewellery and Accessories designer/makers to stock in the shop - whether you are a design professional, student or hobbyist we'd love to hear from you. Contact Nicky: thewhiteroomse4@gmail.com or pop in and speak to Jenny

Went to the White Room's soiree this evening. Flo and the Mac were next door @ Rivoli. Loads of people. Nicky has a great idea - it's more than just a clothes shop. So, what other arty farty shops do we need round SE4 ?

Hello everyone!
Fancy an evening talking Corsets & Costumes???

The White Room SE4 invites you to join us for a glass of wine this Thursday evening, 28th February 7pm as we listen to local lady Sarah Mercer discuss her career as a professional Film & Theatre Costume Maker.

Sarah will be bringing along a selection of Corsets and undergarments for us to look through and welcomes any questions about her fascinating role as costume maker for British Film & Theatre companies.

There are limited spaces for the talk so we ask that you call into the shop to book your place. The cost is £5.

Look forward to seeing you soon!
