That was before it was rammed! Good beer, good times!
S'Alright - beer wasn't all that, definite whiff of average home brew to the three I tried. Only two Late Knights on tap though, neither of which I went for, so better to come I'd have thought. Wall to wall Hipster Beard Action!!
Very good beer (which is the fundamental). Pricey. Chaotic and inefficient service, layout out the back, signage, tills - but I imagine those will improve. Very interesting (but again pricey) range of beers in the fridge to take away. Very much the Shoreditch vibe yesterday; I escaped to Mr L's next door after a bit. Wonder what the burgers are like - went home for tea.
The photo above isn't giving me the impression that it was wall wall hipster beard action.
A great opening night. Good beer/good times. Godamn beards everywhere! Wish them all the best in the future.
Popped in for a quick one last night. Great selection of beers around 8 cask, 4 keg and plenty of bottled as well. The cask Late Nights I had was excellent and I thought pretty reasonable at £3.60 too. As others have mentioned was very busy but good atmosphere. Will definitely be back to sample more beers and try the food. Pleased we have another drinking option in CP as well!
I thought it was great, was there around 6 and there were no hipsters, just beer aficionados!
Rammed with hipsters from about 8! Beers were okay, not the best breweries around... Cider range looked good and their bottle range is much better than cask.Burgers looked great - will have to try them in the future. The lack of a bar is really odd, I didn't like that, but maybe it will grow on me.
£3.40 for cask, £5 for keg
What is "hipster"?
I quite liked the format of having no bar, just a queue to get you choice from the kegs, a bit like a beer festival. Friday night was very popular with a merry crowd and an awful lot of beards. Mr Lawrences bar next door was much smarter and more genteel. Crouton Park is on the up!
Crouton park is soup-er
someone should open a bar on the nunhead side of town, near the Brocca food market, to make that bit a proper little village centre.
Hope you're a friend of mine or I might take extreme offence at being called...no, I won't even use the U word.
Burgers are very good. Less chaotic now, very good range of beers and not actually as pricey as I thought. Good times.
