They have done a brilliant job of keeping that river clean-up quiet. I knew nothing about it yet walk through nearly every day and regularly tweet to @envirolewisham about the river (and get responses). I've pulled Skanska barriers and shopping trolleys from the river an spoken to the park keeper about it. I wrote to councillors and the Mayor about it. I' amazed, and saddened, to have missed the chance to help with the clean up.

That's a shame, I was aware of it and saw the Thames 21 van when I went through Ladywell Fields the other day. If you want to be kept in the loop about similar future events try following @3rcu and @qwag on Twitter, join the Ladywell Fields Users Group or 3 Rivers Clean Up FB groups and/or e-mail lists, keep an eye out for notices on the park noticeboards and take a look at http://natureconservationlewisham.co.uk/ and http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/getinvolved/environment/Pages/Environmental-volunteering.aspx
