I don't have a degree or A levels , but I would hazard a guess that it's food cooked on skewers

Not the best of names, I think. Sounds like an evening with Vlad the Impaler.

We've been once and it was great - you get two wooden skewers on a small plate for about a fiver, and it amounts to a reasonable portion. There was a choice of thai green chicken, chicken and chorizo, rosemary lamb, and salmon with a sweet chilli type glaze (which was delicious) and a veggie option too, I think. We also shared a vegetarian mezze plate which was really nice, and a bottle of pinot grigio that was about £12, if I recall correctly, and perfectly drinkable. The ambience is very different from the bustle you get during the day, with lower lighting and tealights on the tables. A very good experience, and we will definitely be going back.

The phrase "pop-up" has lost all meaning.
