The Talbot garden

The new front garden at The Talbot on Tyrwhitt Road has been open for some now, but in an area still parched for a lack of outdoor drinking areas, it is remiss of Brockley Central not to give it a mention.

The remodelled garden now accommodates much greater numbers of customers, despite the perplexing decision to accommodate a driveway, and the overall effect is a much more sociable space than the old concrete forecourt.

Probably would have been helpful to publish this before the hottest weekend of the summer so-far.

The drive is not new but the planters each side of it are.

They are now levelling off most of the drive area and incorporating into the downhill part of the garden. I am informed that other improvements both inside and outside are to follow.
The restoration of No 8 Tyrwhitt Road is now vitually complete making what was once one of the tattiest roads in the conservation area now look rather smart.

Yeah that house does look very smart now! It literally looked like it was about to collapse before... Good to see it looked after
