good luck to them
Looks great. And they serve Dark Fluid coffee. Double yay! Good luck!
Any word on the fare?
Great, they opened.
The Coffee should lure people over ( weather's pretty bad today ) It's the one thing I almost see a queue for at Brockley Market.
I won't be able to try the place til the weekend.
They had me with their signage, can't wait to try it out this weekend.

Nice touch re-using the georges barber shop sign for the counter
What are the opening hours Arlo?
Well - I went in today and had the chocolate and Guinness cake and I can say that it was absolutely delicious. Really nice cafe and a great addition to the area. I will be back.
I went in for lunch today and I loved it, will definitely be going back. I had quiche and salad and it was delicious. Then I had a piece of carrot cake, which was really lovely. The coffee was also great.
I was all prepared to make allowances for it being their first day, but everything was perfect for me. We're so lucky to have so many places nearby these days.
Jennifer... where's the meat?
Will be checking it out this weekend.
Oh this place looks fantastico! Good luck, what a lovely addition to the street :)
Nice ambience, liked the music and the retro style. Very relaxed. A bit smaller than I expected, fills up fast.
The coffee and cake was excellent. That Dark Fluid coffee is up there with Browns for taste.
Looking forward to a fuller menu as things get going.
A nice addition to the area.
Very warm welcome to arlo and moe! Loved having a coffee and toast this morning and our babies were made to feel welcome and catered for. Congratulations! Wishing you a brilliant first week!

The meat is clearly in your skull.
do they do big sarnies? i'm fighting my prejudice against his hat
dunno yet but the chorizo eggs on toast was huge...
the hat is misleading, nice folk and down to earth.
'prejudice'
That's why I get more than you Biff
Probably the best coffee this side of Brockley. Plus, they sell Dark Fluid coffee beans for those who want to prolong the pleasure at home.
We *heart*- pastries from our fave baker, big portions (agreed re scramble- looked huge!) nice light space. Also a source of inspiration, ALL toast in our house now comes with cream cheese, honey & cinammon... IMO very fairly priced, it does however have a parent friendly vibe whilst being a squeeze for buggies & punters to fit so am sure the trolls will find something to get their teeth into THERE.
What on earth do you mean?
You speak as if it is already a colony of emetic urchins and their pompous parents!
What a great addition to the area. Delicious food and the best choc Guinness cake I've ever had. Very reasonably priced too!
What's an emetic urchin? Scratches head.
I mean, it is a tight space, if there are children they will be overheard by the next table, you just know that is going to get the Anons going, more's the pity
You will know what an emetic urchin is when they are sick all over or throw food about.
Nah, an emetic is something which causes one to chunder so the metaphor is misplaced.
Thanks all the same for illustrating my point.
James is lovely, the food was top notch! Really happy to see a new place in the nabe with good food and service!
