Welcome back to local banking

George, you can type this shit, but you sure as hell can't say it.
- Harrison Ford on the Star Wars script

Nearest local branch? Greenwich. Still, corporate Britain's not welcome around these parts anyway.

I am trying to work out whether you understood the joke.

Hah. They probably expected us to take pictures and post it on a social network. We'll never fall for that...

Bankers. Always one step ahead.

Unless their on edelman's roster. Nick's gotta make a living you know. There's money to be made. This blog should be called Brockley corporate: one big untapped market.

It's people working for corporates that are driving all your house prices up.

You may be surprised to know that the two most prominent commercial locations in Brockley are already occupied by two large Corporate with sales of over £1.2bn each. A bank would be a nice addition that could be used by every family and not only by the locals with addiction.

Oh those cuddly local banks... I must invite them round for tea sometime. They just exude community spirit through and through...

It would be nice to see the back of the Barclays from SE23 one day.

This statement is flawed on many levels.

Now now, I'm guessing everyone who has commented here has a bank account. How can these local branches be a bad thing. You need to worry about investment banks, these guys have the same name but are all on separate P&L sheets.
More banks and more chains of shops = safer better Brockley. Hopefully Costa will come soon....

Well if Banks are considering Brockley as a place they want to be it would suggest the area we are in is bucking the trend and on the way up. Surely we all want to live in a nice safe place without people getting stabbed, held up at gun point or otherwise.
This advert is a good thing for Brockley
