The new face of The Honor Oak

Punch Taverns, owners of The Honor Oak, seem to be serious about reopening the pub. Ali spotted this planning application, to go with their commitment to invest in its refurbishment, for:

"The installation of various externally illuminated fascia and projecting signs on the elevations, together with a replacement swing signpost to the front forecourt."

The look and feel is pretty traditional, which is probably right for this location. The quicker it returns the better.

Yeah, I can see that! I welcome a more traditional style though. The old place, lovely though it was, always had slightly questionable signage that probably looked great when it went up but dated quickly.
