The new Utrophians

As Transpontine reports, Deptford arts space Utrophia is sadly relocating from the old ice cream factory at 136 Tanners Hill in Deptford as the building is being redeveloped. Utrophia has had to cope with the loss of its home before and is planning to move to a new (currently undisclosed) location.

If you want to get a vision of Utrophia for yourself before it goes, there are still some events due to take place before it closes, click here for details.

The building to the left of their main entrance on Tanners Hill is/was for sale. It used to be a half decent restaurant at one time. Could it possibly be again?

Unlikely. No doubt it will be converted into another yet another block of uninspiring flats.

Yes I went there for a Valentine's Day meal some years ago - what was that restaurant called?

Can't remember TP. I've always thought there was something old worldly and special about that upper part of Tanners Hill. (The Coade stone plaque half way down!) Never mind the long lamented CPT. I remember the restaraunt as having great space and propotions (rather than portions)

I wont even start on the mispellings in the previous. Just to say Good Luck to Utrophia wherever they may roam.
