New Second Hand Furniture Shop on Brockley Road
When we forecast that the East London Line would unleash the white heat of private sector dynamism on Brockley Road, this isn't quite what we had in mind...
The landlords secured planning permission to renovate the shop in the summer, but so far, there has been no sign of further progress.
In the mean time, it is functioning as a second-hand furniture shop, which is at least a step forward from homeopathic medicine.

I notice they sort out Sciatica, currently on cure I've been working on since this morning. Red wine, Ibuprofen and a large home made pasty. Initial results are encouraging.
Amazing what you find in skips these days.
An "under offer" sign appeared during the summer. That was the reason why the owner renewed a 3 years old planning permission, however the buyer pulled out at the last minute...
The high street never seems to reach its full potential....
I suppose it needs a Waitrose?!
Homeopathic furniture is an interesting concept - but do I spy a bookcase - they want one in the Telegraph Hill Centre...?
@This is England:
Not a Waitrose just something that isn't a complete eyesore.
So it's gone from offering outdated products that appeal only to hippies and the desperate to... well...
Groan.
I presume that the crap, sorry produce, displayed on the pavement is there illegally.
Gotta say it looks like someone has set up a jumble sale stand in the street minus the usual trestle tables to put the jumble/junk on. Doesn't seem to add much to the streetscape!
This place is looking more and more like a dump by the week. Now one of the front windows is broken and partly boarded up, and the signeage on the front has been partly removed. It looks appalling.
