Mothers' Ruin, December 2nd

Revenge? Of course! But why wound his body with bullets, when I can set his soul on fire with a slanderous mambo? Listen, if you will, to my revenge.

Bit of notice next time eh!

Well, it's enough. No need to sort and price baby clothes this time, just find that you've no plans for tomorrow evening and toddle along.

And if organisers want to give lots of notice for their events there's the South East Cental Fora where people can post for themselves.

Thank you Tamsin, you can post again!

On this occasion, the organiser sent me it in plenty of time, but I forgot to post it. I got sidetracked trying to find the Tito Puente quote and never actually pushed publish.

On the other hand, if I'd posted it a week ago, maybe people would have forgotten all about it.

I don't know, you kids and your forward planning.

Has the Hill Station moved?
It was in Kitto Road the last time I saw it?
Or maybe Pepys Road has moved?
I'm confused.

Like it. The Magic Toyshop
No - they are - what Gin and loud music do to the brain cells.

But it is a very stylish poster.

Nice Simpsons quote. What relevance to the story? Why do you do them? The stories are interesting enough without your constant "this is what comedy I like" nonsense strung before them.

Erm..... Glad we have strict gun control in this country.

The relevance is that the DJ namechecks Tito Puente as one of the musicians she plays. The quote makes me think of some of the ridiculous arguments we encounter on here (your post being the latest example). The quotes are always relevant. Sometimes the relevance of the quotes is obvious and direct, sometimes it takes a bit of lateral or poetic thinking to work it out.

The reason I do it is because I enjoy them and I don't mind if you don't.

It shows you're not a serious news site thanks

Brockley Nick said...

Yes, because this was a serious news story, that needed to be treated with the utmost gravity.

I'm about to try the MoPho special with oxtail. This could be the biggest news story this year....will report back soonest.

The quotes are fun - I really like books with chapter headings. Even though Kipling cheated and wrote his own.

The only downside is that, as Nick said on another thread, a story sometimes gets delayed while he runs the relevant quote to earth.

The quotations sometimes leave me flummoxed but I enjoy them.

Anon must be accustomed to receiving her information in very po faced formats; Death notices, court writs, that type of thing.
