Bambuni, Nunhead
Bambuni is an immaculate new Nunhead delicatesssen and coffee shop on Evelina Road that looks and feels like it's been transplanted from the west end.
Transpontine has some nice photographs here and the owners of Bambuni provide news and updates on the Nunhead forum.

Coffee's decent but not as good as Brown's but it's nice and spacious and worth a little walk if you live in Brockley.
Wow - did not know about this - Thanks BC!
Nice addition to the area!
V good pork pies, lots of lovely cheeses and the fill your own bottle of red wine is good too. All in all, an excellent addition to (west brockley) Nunhead. Almost makes up for the loss of Naz the butcher.
Good grief - this looks amazing Ie normal, professional and commercial. Thank goodness. I will be there asap.
Ps what happened to the proposed patisserie on Lewisham way? And when is that damned container thing going to be removed?!
What a great addition to the area, much needed! Tried their coffee, danish pastries, toasties and sampled the olive oil. Very nice. Now they have Christmas hampers with lots of goodies on display, very tempting! All in all very nice and so is the service. Would love to see more food served.
Gorgeous brownie. Lovely cup of tea. Terrific people. Welcome addition to Nunhead village that deserves to go from strength to strength...
I agree. I've only been once so far but loved it - spacious, with a nice eat/drink-in section at the back and an interesting selection of cheeses etc and dry goods. The coffee was not as good as browns but better than some other local cafes. Love the fill-your-own olive oil and wine idea. I'm slightly scared to say it but it is a cut above other delis in the area.
Its really nice.Great food, lovely surroundings and really nice staff. It needs support.
