And, it's off

A reliable source tells us that tomorrow's planned soft launch of the ELL is postponed (we know Tommo had broken the news on here earlier, but it's good to get it from - you know - a known quantity).

The new date is the 19th. MayorWatch hints at some of the reasons behind the postponement, as does Tory Troll.

Nick I know you probably want to take the agenda off the shootings. But we as an online community need to talk about it. To try and build a small consensus and grow it from there. If Brockley becomes a crime hell hole. The ELL is going to be of small comfort.

I don't understand.

@saddened - How long do you propose that we should discuss the shootings to the exclusion of all other topics?

Life goes on...even for those directly involved.

"Life goes on...even for those directly involved."

Well thankfully it does in this instance.

What ideas have you to tackle the problem of gun, and general lawlessness in certain parts of Brockley? It's important to hear ideas & thoughts, do you even care?

Saddened, there's a perfectly good thread underneath this one for discussing your topic. It doesn't disappear because of this one. Please don't drag this debate off topic.

Sorry Nick, I don't mind if you delete my posts on this thread.

According to a thread on another forum:

"The ELR opening has been postponed till Monday 19th April, subject to confirmation. This is because of a camera-related software fault. We will know on Sunday if everything is fixed!"

Is the date suitable for Boris to gloat!?

Brockley need to have more presence from the police as a lot of crime have been going unnoticed people in general knows of the many issues but are scared of been labeled informant. Shardoles Road and Vesta Road is not to be excluded. What about this stop and search policy if this was been carried out some of the problem would be solved.

Typical bloody Boris trying to bask in the glory of something he had nothing to do with. Shame Ken can't turn up and open it...

It predates ken as well, although the final bits and bobs fell into place under his watch

Who should take the plaudits then.

Anonymous said...

Does any one political party need to 'take the plaudits'?

Shortly after Ken was first elected he took credit for a major project which had begun years before the office of Mayor had been created.

Last week the staff at NXG were saying that they didn't know when it would start. This morning they were saying next month.
