New Supperclub for Brockley [UPDATED]
BC reader Jullie and organiser of Going for a Song is setting up a supperclub for the area. She first told us about her plans when we met her at the recent Royal Albert pub quiz. Now she's unveiled the details:
It's part pop-up restaurant, part dinner party. A tasty and fun experience. It'll be held in Brockley / New Cross / Telegraph Hill (I'm on the border of all three) in my cosy house (or garden, weather permitting).
Our supperclub has a twist, in that every other event will be for single people, but we promise, no forced fun, or silly games. Just vino, chatting, nice food and good company.
Our first dates are:
Saturday 26th June – everyone welcome (foodie theme 'summery euro mash-up')
Saturday 17th July – straight singles (foodie theme 'abigail's party retro classics')
You'll get exact address upon booking and there is a £25 suggested donation and BYO booze but you'll get a cocktail and nibbles on arrival, three, four or even five courses (depending on that month's chosen cuisine), and veggies will be catered for (tell us upon booking), but not vegans.
She's launched a blog here and a Facebook group here.
UPDATE: Julie tells us she's organising a trial run, so if you're interested in putting her food to the test for free, get in touch via her Facebook group. And please come back on and tell us what it was like.
