Arlo & Moe's sexy toast
Mark: Brown for first course, white for pudding. Brown's savoury, white's the treat. Course, I'm the one who's laughing because I actually love brown toast.

BCer Richard Elliot has reviewed Arlo & Moe's food options - finding their toast sexy and their dahl bold. As he says, the fact that it serves more than tea and cake is easily missed.

All credit to A&M for getting me out of the house before 12 every weekend now so I don't miss the scrambled eggs. It's my favourite new place in the area by a long way.
I love what they've done and it's a nice little venue. Tea's good, except when I went in last, it was £2.90 for a sausage roll. £2.90 - almost 3 quid. I can get a whole fry up at Top Chef for that, and though they are quality high class sausage rolls, I question if it's worth it.
I couldn't agree more on the pricing front. Great place, excellent food but completely overpriced. Had what could only be described as a slither of their delicious chocolate Guiness cake for £2.50. Whilst I appreciate the costs to run an independent cafe, the least they could do is provide reasonable portion sizes.
