I'm anti vandalism (uncles it is highly original and funny) but what right do CAM have to put that there? Either Lewisham should have refused permission or it should be removed as unsightly and unnecessary street clutter. Brockley is not the City - I can get a copy in the wharf if I wanted to which I don't!
@Ed - I assume they did get permission from somewhere and if they did, then they have the right. If they didn't, however, it should be taken away.
Although, the whole point of free newspapers is to get them at the start of your journey, not your end point, so that's why they give them out in places like Brockley.
@Nick - so you would not question Lewisham on this? If they said OK it's OK? How many more? One for each lamppost? The BDS can have one for their top-shelf newsletter?
@FFBB - it's very business focused, I don't see many outside the City/CW reading it but maybe that's just because they didn't get it first thing in the morning to read after they have caught up on the day's celebrity infidelities in their favourite red top...
And another thing, it's not very green. Can't you dl CAM on your latest pratbox?

Ha ha. Yes, thanks heavens for quality churnalism in free newspapers, the effortless passing off of thinly veiled press releases into print. When I'm in search of hard hitting Pulitzer Prize winning investigations I reach for a free rag.
Picked up my copy of City AM for the first time this morning - I'm liking this new addition to the station. Wish they would move it somewhere closer to the main steps, though, it's a bit out-of-the-way on the street.

So long as they're organic and humanely slaughtered. I'm starting with Hugh, I bet his liver is like the best Fois Gras.
. . . marinated troll anyone?
I think you are misusing the word Semiotics.
I love mung beans
@PL - what is this if not a potent and multi-layered symbol?
I bet it was written by an angst trustafarian.
Canabalism for the UK.
Bet the morons who did this don't consider who pays to clean up their graffiti. "The Government" I suppose...
Vandalism - never warranted.
By posting it here wouldn't that encourage more of this sort of thing?

@ ED - Not only those who work in Canary Wharf read it.
I commute to Reading regularly so welcome the prospect of having a second paper choice at Brockley.

Newspapers are a bit of a dying concept really, but they're still one of the few technologies that work well on the tube...
I used to hate semiotics when we had it for school lunch.
City a.m. is a resonably interesting read on the morning train, always assuming you can get on the morning train these days.
The middle-class, higher-educated play-anarchist who decorated this so carefully will one day take comfort in the fact that free newspapers exist.
Smash the cistern, yah?
Hardly any had gone at 10:00 this morning; what a waste of paper.
City AM is being distributed in Brockley? Omg. That doesn't even happen in East Dulwich, does it?
This is a whole new level of yuppiedom.
And now it says on it 'as seen on Brockley Central' ... Great viral marketing, Nick ;-)
Twas I... Brockley's very own fair-trade graffiti artist!
